Positive Safe Environment
At Rhyno's Peoples Kenpo Karate Association, we provide a positive, constructive, safe environment for self-defense trainees. There are various age groups that participate in self-defense training from elementary kids to retirees. Trainees are involved in classes with like-minded individuals from various backgrounds. Our environment allows for social interaction that can leave a positive impact on the training experience — and life experience — of students.

What programs do you offer?
We offer Safe Side early child development training (ages 3-5), Juniors Martial Arts (ages 6-11), Adult Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Sparring (Sport Karate). We also host birthday parties at the dojo.
Do I need any prior experience?
No experience is necessary for any of our programs. All levels are welcome, and our instructors will work with you at your own pace. We offer a free introduction class so you can try it out before committing.
How do I get started?

What age groups do you teach?
We teach students of all ages. Our Safe Side program starts at age 3, Juniors classes cover ages 6-11, and our adult programs welcome teens and adults of all fitness levels.
What should I wear to class?
For your first class, comfortable athletic clothing is fine. Once you enroll, students typically train in a gi (uniform). Your instructor will guide you on what gear you need.
How does belt progression work?
Students advance through belt ranks based on skill development, knowledge, and dedication. Our instructors evaluate readiness for testing and guide students through each level of their martial arts journey.
Do you offer birthday parties?
Yes. Our karate birthday parties are customizable and last about 2 hours, including an hour of ninja training with a black belt instructor plus time in our party area for cake and presents. The birthday child even gets to cut the cake with a sword.
What areas do you serve?
We serve families across Denver, Lakewood, Englewood, and Sheridan. Our dojo is located at 2199 South Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80227.
Rules of the Dojo

Shoes & Mats
No shoes on the mat. Wear shoes or sandals in the bathroom and when off the mats.

Clean Up After Yourself
- • Put equipment away
- • Return first-aid/tape to its place
- • Leave with what you brought or find it in lost and found
- • Keep trash in the trash
- • If you spill biohazard, clean it up immediately with sanitizer or bleach spray

Restroom Etiquette
Keep the restrooms clean. If you make a mess, clean it up.
